Follow The Ocean by sweet-innocent-aura Follow The Ocean by sweet-innocent-aura
Because life is never easy
Because some people try to hurt you
Because you might feel alone
Because you can think your existence is ridiculous
Because you don't know how to fight that hate...

If you follow the ocean of souls...
You will realize you are not alone
You will learn from others' experiences
You will be stronger
You will win the battle against the haters
You will be yourself
You will be happy
You will reach the light

I can tell you about me. I have suffered bullying since the first day of high school (I was 12 years old, until I left it at 18). Death threats, pushing me downstairs, enclosing me in class alone several times, called "nerd" and some other things. I was sooo ugly (braces, terrible acne, wild hair, glasses...) and I wanted to disappear... but I learned I could be amazing, so I kept studying, getting great marks, haters hated me more but I was proud of myself. And braces were gone, so did the acne, I started wearing contacts and my hair got better. I felt really happy, but not because I was "pretty" again. I had won the battle, I became a young lady and good person

I know it was not related to my sexual orientation, but as you can see people hate without knowing you.
You can change it, DON'T GIVE UP!

I passed almost through the same, but without the bullying... Today I feel awesome with myself, though there's some details I'm still working on. p:

But that's the spirit, Aura-chan~ Keep showing your beautiful smile to everyone so they can see how victorious you are~ :meow:

I´m always surprised when I hear how many people get bullied in school D: I suppose I either didn´t notice it or we didn´t have any cases of bullying in my grade :B

However, there were quite a few guys outside of my grade (most of them were younger than me :|) who thought it would be funny to harrass me and my friend...but they never went as far as to actually threaten us with death o.o
I don´t look like it, (and don´t really like it, either) but when people try to intimidate me, I can get very violent...most of the time it was more effective to just tell the teachers or even the principal about it, though :) (did you tell them back then? :?)

Anyway, I can´t believe that people are so intolerant towards others with an uncommon sexual orientation :(
It´s not like you can actually CHOOSE who you love - I myself have the opinion that I´ll fall in love with a person and their personality - and not their gender! :giggle:

I told teachers and that is why I'm here ^^ the thing is that they used to thing it was something from teenagers, even if when I almost go downstairs my teacher was in front of me and she didn't give the importance it had.

and yes, why focusing on the gender? it's a soul, no matter the body it has!
